Indonesia and the European Union - A Unique Partnership for Prosperity

On February 27 an important meeting was held be-tween Indonesian and European Union (EU) business leaders on the unique partnership for prosperity that exists between the EU and Indonesia. The meeting was addressed by H.E. Hon. Mr. Airlangga Hartarto (Chairman of Commission VI DPR), Mr Emirsyah Satar (President & CEO, Garuda Indonesia and Vice Chairman of KADIN), Mr. Sofyan Wanandi (Chair of APINDO) as well as by Mr. David O'Sullivan (Chief Operating Officer of the EU's External Action Service). Eighty companies and civil society representatives attended the meeting. The meeting discussed the commercial and investment relationship between Indonesia and the EU and specifically the start of negotiations of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two parties.
